No Activation Required
There is no activation or registration process for Bolo SMS. You can use Bolo SMS at any time, just like SMS.
Just dial 99 before the number
| Bolo SMS can be sent to any number in Pakistan including PTCL | | To send a Bolo SMS, follow these easy steps | | Dial 99 and the number of the intended recipient. E.g. 9903002440216 | | This will take you to the IVR menu. You can record your Bolo SMS here | | Record your Bolo SMS and press # to end your recording. (Bolo SMS cannot be longer then 30 seconds. In case of longer messages, after 30 seconds you will be automatically taken to the next step.) | | The next step is sending. You can send the message right away, or at a later date.
To send BOLO SMS, Simply dial 99 followed by the recipients number, After the welcome prompt, please record your message after the beep. When finished you will be able to select any option form the following.

For Bolo SMS Special Sounds During recording of your message press any digits from 1-9 to add anyone of the following sounds: - Scream
- Baby giggle
- Burp
- Cry
- Hehehe
- Hiccup
- Smooch
- Snore
- Yawn
- To send BOLO SMS Email dial 919 and after the beep record the message.
- After completing the recording hung up the phone, you will receive a text message to confirm recipient’s email address.
- Your Bolo SMS will be delivered to given address as attachment.
Receiving a Bolo SMS is like answering a call Bolo SMS comes like a phone-call. You can listen to an incoming Bolo SMS by simply taking the call when it comes. The system makes 4 attempts to send you a Bolo SMS. If you receive any of these 4 calls, there are no additional charges for receiving a Bolo SMS.
If you don't receive your Bolo SMS directly, and if you have a Mobilink number, you can listen to your Bolo SMS later. Simply dial 991 and your number, e.g. 7703002440216. This facility is available only to Mobilink subscribers.
Compatible with all Mobile Handsets Bolo SMS service is not a handset dependent service and does not require any special handset. Anyone can receive a Bolo SMS. All Mobilink numbers can send a Bolo SMS.
Blocking a Number
You can block anyone from sending you a Bolo SMS by calling the helpline at 111.Once you block someone, you can't send or receive Bolo SMS from that number. Block requests take up to a week for processing.
Bolo SMS and International Roaming You can only send and receive Bolo SMS while you are within Pakistan and Mobilink's network coverage.
Bolo SMS Charges Sending Charges*
- Sending Bolo SMS to a Mobilink number: Rs. 2 + tax per 2 IVR minutes
- Sending Bolo SMS to any other network in Pakistan: Rs. 3 + tax per 2 IVR minutes
Receiving Charges - Receiving directly: Free
- Receiving Later: Rs. 1 + tax per 2 IVR minutes (this is available for Mobilink subscribers only)
Bolo SMS Email Charges
Sending Bolo SMS to an email address: Rs. 2 + tax per 2 IVR minutes, SMS @ Rs. 0.50+tax. * Charges apply from the first minute. Next loop of charging starts in the 3rd minute.
