Step 1:

The participant will send “JK” to 5555 to enter the contest. The users can send in any other key words or blank message to 5555. It will be accepted as well. The price of every SMS is Rs. 10+tax. Alternatively, the customer can dial 5555 to enter the contest through IVR. The price of IVR is Rs. 10+tax/min.

Step 2:

The participant will receive a welcome SMS and the first question. In case of IVR, the participant will hear a welcome message along with the first question.

Step 3:

The quiz mechanism consists of multiple choice questions with two answer options. Participants have to reply with his/her answer to accumulate points which will increase their possibilities to become a daily/weekly/final. The participant will send the answer he/she believes is the correct one by sending 1 or 2 to 5555. In case of participation through IVR, the participant will press 1 or 2 to answer the question. Once answered, user is notified if the answer was correct or incorrect. In case the user does not respond with option 1 or 2 or sends any other text/number, he /she will get an invalid reply message.

How do I play?
It is rather simple:
1. After you have registered, by sending a SMS with blank keyword to 5555 or by dialing 5555;
2. You receive Welcome message and information for the campaign;
3. Then you receive your first question.
The question has 2 alternative answers: 1 correct and 1 wrong.
Each correct or valid answer gives 10 or more points. Wrong is awarded with 5 points and invalid with 5 points. You are requested to answer questions in order to play for bigger daily and weekly prizes for every correct answer AND accumulate points for the Grand draw.
Can a winner of a prize win again another prize?
One participant cannot win more than one prize of the same type from the same MSISDN.
Do I receive the prize immediately?
All the prizes will be delivered during and after the promotion to the winners. Winners will be notified by Mobilink.

This means that you have entered a bonus phase where you can earn more that the usual given points. Every time that you enter a bonus period where each question gives you more points, you will receive a message informing you about this bonus and the points you get. Do not worry it is easy! You always answer questions on all bonus phases!
How many points do I earn for every question that I answer?
If you answer the question correctly, you get at least 10 points. If you give a wrong answer you get 5 points. But during the game there are many bonus phases that give you much more than 10 points. Answer more questions to 5555 by SMS or call to discover them.

Acceptance of Terms of Use

By dialing or sending an SMS to the short code 5555 (the Short Code), participants sign their complete acceptance and full understanding of these terms and conditions and agree:

to receive SMS communication from the Organizer on their mobile phones relating to the “Jazz SMS Khazana 8” campaign;
to receive SMS communication/advertising offers from the Organizer or from other companies that cooperate with the Organizer during the Promotional Game or after the end of it;
to be included into Opt-in programs and Communities created by the Organizer with the data gathered during the Promotional Game or after the end of it.

In the event of dispute regarding the Terms and Conditions, conduct, results, and all other matters relating to the Game, the decision of the Organizer shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
This Agreement between the Organizer and the participant will remain in full force and effect while Organizer provides the offer (not taking into account temporarily suspensions of the offer for operational reasons, e.g. for repairs, planned maintenance or upgrades).

Participants of the promotional game:

The following are eligible to participate:
1. Physical persons (other than people employed by the Organizer for the period of the Game, and also their close relatives and spouses), who are Mobilink customers during the period of the Game.
2. Legal entities who are Mobilink customers during the period of the Game. Only an authorized signatory on behalf of the legal entity will be entitled to take receipt of the prize.
3. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any provision of the Terms and Conditions.
4. By participating in the Game, entrants hereby warrant that all information submitted is true, current and complete.

Availability and accessibility of information and Opt-out mechanism

Information about the number of points (participations/chances) scored by the participants during the Game will be sent to the participants in SMS messages automatically after receiving SMS message from the Organizer. In order to know the score each participant can send a SMS with keyword “SCORE” or “SC” to 5555.
In order to know the number of minutes and SMS accumulated that far by the participant, he/she can send a SMS with keyword “CN” 5555.
Each participant can drop out of the Game and stop receiving any information about the Game by sending an SMS with keyword “STOP” or “ST” to 5555. If after the participant chooses to send a new SMS message to the Short Code, he/she will be again considered as a participant in the Game.
If the Game is terminated the Organizer of the Game will publish in the official resources of the Game www.mobilinkworld.com/khazana8 a message about the termination of the Game.
Interruption or early termination of the Game shall not release the Organizer from its obligation to give out already awarded prizes and execute all other actions required except for the cases when termination or interruption of the Game was called by actions or events which are not under the Organizer's control.
The Organizer of the Game shall not release personal information about participants of the Game to the third persons unless required to do so by law or to comply with Pakistan government entities and in accordance with the paragraph 13 of the Terms and Conditions.
The Organizer reserves the right not to enter into written negotiations or otherwise contact with the participants of the Game other than in accordance with the Terms and Conditions or in unless required to do by law.
The Organizer reserves the right to make available free short codes throughout the duration of the Promotional Game for any purpose.

Regulations of participation in the game:
1. To participate in the Game the participant must send SMS to the Short Code 5555 or dial 5555 in order to start participating in the Game. Alternatively, they can also dial 5555 to play through IVR.
2. Once the participant enters the Game he/she will receive a message with a question and 2 possible answers (one answer is correct and the other wrong). The participant answers the question by sending an SMS with the correct answer (which will be a numerical answer) to the Short Code. In case of IVR, the participant will press 1 or 2 to respond to the question.
3. The charges of 5555 per Min/per SMS is Rs 10PKR+tax. The associated costs of SMS are invoiced through the telephone bill or deducted from the corresponding prepaid card. All messages sent by 5555 to the participants of the Game are free of charge.
4. For each correct answer to the question the participant receives points, which are added up during the Game. Wrong answers give fewer points than the correct answers. The points for each right answer to the question will be added in two modes :

Basic Mode: In basic mode, the participant receives 10 points for each correct answer and 5 points for the wrong answer. For invalid selection, the participant will receive 5 points.
Bonus Phases: There will be bonus phases where the participants will receive more points than the ones they are eligible to receive in the Basic Mode. In all cases these bonus phases will be communicated to the participants via an SMS. These phases can last for any time period set by the Organizer and will be equally accessible to all participants.
According to the participant's interaction towards the Promotional Game, different incentives will be promoted via SMS. Promotional SMS teasers will be sent to various players according to availability of technical capacity, stability and generally accepted resting hours of the day.
The Organizer reserves the right to invite the subscribers to register for the Promotional Game without any charges through a special registration short code number and maybe get start up points without any charge. Subscribers will be notified via an SMS.

Place, date, time and order of the prizes
1. The same subscriber's number (MSISDN) cannot win more than once the same prize during the period of the Game.
2. The formation of participants’ record for the whole period of the Game will start at 00:00:01 hours (Pakistan Time) on the first day of the Game (6th August, 2012) and end at 23:59:59 hours (Pakistan time) on the last day of the Game (14th October, 2012).
3. The winners (generated via draw mechanism) will be automatically designated by an electronic system.
4. Draws will be conducted at the premises of the Organizer in the presence of Mobilink's Internal Audit Team.
5. Daily Prize:
  1. The daily prize winners are determined the following day via lucky draw (for example, the daily prize winners of the first day will be determined on the second day, and the winners of the second day will be determined on the third day, and so on). The record consists of entry sets corresponding to the total points (pts) earned by each participant from 00:00:01 hours (Pakistan time) to 23:59:59 hours (Pakistan Time) on the day for which the lucky draw for the prize is being held. The participant has to send at least one SMS (or call on the IVR at least once) on the day for which he/she wants to be eligible for the daily prize. Based on the player’s performance during the campaign or on the same day, he/she can possibly be given a chance to transfer all his points to that day’s draw. During the campaign each point earned for participation is assigned to a unique entry in the database of the participants. For example, 50 points (pts) entitle the certain participant (MSISDN) to 50 entries; 200 points (pts) to 200 entries for the drawing of the prize. Each draw will determine one (1) winner.

  3. There will be no daily prize on the day of Weekly Prize, Eid Prize and the Final Prize.
  4. The winners are notified by Mobilink via phone call to their subscriber number. The winners will receive notice within 10 calendar days from the date of the draw. The name and initials, or name of the organization, as well as the MSISDN of the winners may be announced by newspaper ads, via SMS, TV, radio, website, or any other media to all the participants included in the record or to the general public.
6. Weekly Prize:
  1. The weekly winner is determined every Monday via a lucky draw. The record consists of the total points (pts), earned by each participant from Monday 00:00:01 (Pakistan time) to Sunday 23:59:59 (Pakistan Time) of the corresponding week. The participant has to send at least one SMS (or call on the IVR at least once) during the corresponding week (Monday 00:00:01 until Sunday 23:59:59 Pakistan Time) in order to be eligible to win the weekly prize. Based on the player’s performance during the campaign or during the week, he/she can possibly be given a chance to transfer all his points to that week’s draw. During the campaign each point earned is assigned to a unique entry in the database of the participants. For example, 50 points (pts) entitle the certain participant (MSISDN) to 50 entries; 200 points (pts) to 200 entries for the drawing of the prize. Each weekly prize will be awarded to 1 winner only.
  2. Each winner wins 1 Suzuki Swift car.
  3. There will be no weekly prize on the last weekend of the campaign when there will be a Final Prize instead. There will also be no weekly prize on the weekend of Eid when there will be a cash prize of PKR 1,500,000.

7. Final Prize:
  1. The final winner is determined after the end of Promotion via a lucky draw. The record consists of entry sets corresponding to the total points, earned by each participant from the start of the Game and until the last day of the Promotion. During the Game, each point earned for the answers is assigned to a unique entry/raffle in the database of the participants. For example, 10 points received for the correct answer entitle the certain participant (MSISDN) to 10 entries/raffles; 20 points to 20 entries/raffles for the drawing of the prize.

  1. Daily, weekly, and Eid prizes will be delivered within 90 working days, grand prize within 1 month of the lucky draw.
  2. Preliminary registration of prizes will take place at Pakistan, Mobilink offices Monday to Friday from 10:00 till 17:00 within 10 working days upon completion of the promotional Game.
  3. The winner is liable for payment of due taxes and collections for the cash prizes under any relevant current legislation.
  4. The winners will be contacted by the Organizer. The winners must confirm in writing that they are the legal holder of the Mobilink connection and that they are entitled to the prize and fill all the necessary documents given by the Organizer. All winners must provide identification documents in order to receive the prize. Prizes may be received by a representative of the winner by proxy upon written confirmation from the winner. The Organizer has the right to request identification documents of the representative of the winner.
  5. By participating in the Game, the winners agree that any of their data, including but not limited to names, surnames, photos and video images, can be used by Mobilink for advertising purposes with no prior consent of the winner and free of charge.

The Organizer will select up to 9 runner-up winners for the prizes and if the notified winner refuses the prize or fails to appear to collect it within 7 calendar days of notification, then the Organizer will contact one of the relevant runner-up winners and offer him/her the prize. If none of the runner-up winners accept the prize or do not show up within 7 calendar days of notification then the prize will remains the property of the Organizer of the Game.
  7. Decisions made by the Organizer will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes are not transferable.
10. Limitation of liability:
  1. The Organizer accepts no responsibility whatsoever for, including without limitation, any error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure when it is not under its direct control and execution.
  2. The Organizer reserves the right to temporarily suspend the Game for operational reasons (e.g. for repairs, planned maintenance or upgrades), whenever is deemed necessary. The Organizer will try to restore the Game as soon as possible after any temporary suspension period.
  3. The Organizer will deliver the prizes to the winners through winners' nearest Mobilink Customer Care Center.
  4. The Organizer advises participants to use caution and common sense when participating in the Promotional Game at all times.
11. Disclaimer of warranties:
  1. Participants understand and agree that they participate in this Game at their own risk and willingness and have not been coerced in any manner to enter the Game.
  2. The Organizer makes no warranty, implied or expressed, that any part of the Game will be uninterrupted and error-free.
  3. Neither the Organizer nor any of its directors, employees, agents, dealers, franchisees or suppliers shall accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant participating in the promotion or as a result of accepting the prize.
  4. The Organizer is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Game.
  5. By entering the Game, participants agree that no claim relating to such losses or injuries (including special, indirect and consequential losses) shall be asserted against the Organizer, its parent companies, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, dealers, franchisees or agents from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind resulting from acceptance or user of any prize, including without limitation, personal injuries, death and property damage.
12. Data protection and Publicity:

Personal data related to voice, image, name or address and any other relevant information will be included in a filing system belonging to the Organizer as data controller, and can be used for taking part in the competition as well as publicity mailing, or other purposes relating to the Organizer's services, or services of other third companies that cooperate with the Organizer, unless otherwise indicated. The participants also consent that any profiling information given or any statistics that may be obtained through the Promotional Game regarding the profiling information can be used from the Organizer and third companies cooperating with the Organizer for reasonable purposes according to the local law.

13. Governing Law:
