Fax mail is a unique service which allows a subscriber to receive his personal faxes on his mobile and is able to receive them by using any fax machine.

How can you subscribe

• The service would be charged at Rs. 100 + tax per month for postpaid subscribers only
• The subscriber would be assigned a fax number on his existing postpaid sim within 24 hrs of request
• There No charges on Fax retrieval
• Regular Voicemail charges apply on calls made to 786/787

How to send a Fax

Anybody can send a fax from anywhere in the world by following the same process as used for sending a fax to a landline number. For e.g. someone faxing from within Pakistan will dial 0300 and your personalized Mobilink – GSM fax number, and if the sender is overseas, he / she will dial +92 300 or +92 301 and personalized Mobilink – GSM fax number.

How to activate fax on your mobile

• Go to Call Settings
• Select Divert
• Select Divert all fax calls/mode
• Enter the number 123*xxxxxxx**/124*xxxxxxx** to divert the calls to “Faxmail”
  *     123 for North and 124 for South
  **   Your personalized fax number
• Activate your PIN by dialing 786 , press *
• Now press 1 and then 6 and enter your new PIN
• This PIN can be set for message retrieval, which means, you will have to enter this code every time you want o listen to your message or enter command mode

How to retrieve fax messages from your Fax number

• Once you receive a fax message you will get an SMS intimation that a new fax message has been received by your fax number
• Dial your fax number from a landline fax machine
• Press *(star) and enter the PIN code
• Press “1” “2” “1” and “3” or follow the instructions to reach your saved messages in the Fax Mail
• Set the fax machine to option “Fax start” and the fax message will start printing
