What is Mobitunes?

Mobitunes – A new way to greet your incoming callers – instead of listening to the conventional Tu Tu, with Mobitunes you can now make your callers listen to your chosen Tune.

What are the costs for using this service?

  • Weekly subscription charges of Rs. 3.75 + Tax and,
  • Mobitunes IVR surfing charges of Rs. 3.99/Min + Taxes,

How do I subscribe to Mobitunes?

To subscribe to Mobitunes, just Dial 230 and follow the instructions to download, and assign Mobitunes of your choice to your chosen set of phone numbers. Wait for an SMS confirmation of your subscription and then start using Mobitunes. Alternatively, you can also dial Customer Services Helpline @ 111 for further information and assistance.

Will my callers be charged when they listen to my Mobitune?

It will be just the same as calling you when you are not subscribed to Mobitunes service, therefore your callers will not be charged.

How many callers can I assign a Mobitune to?

You can assign a Mobitune to either of the following:

  • All Callers,
  • Group/groups of Callers – which allows a maximum of 10 numbers to be assigned a Mobitune to.

Can I blacklist a caller from listening to my set Mobitune?

Yes, you can blacklist any caller from listening to your Mobitune. The process can be performed from Group Settings Main Menu. A blacklisted caller will only get to listen to the default tune when ever a call is made to your number.

What happens when a number is entered in Blacklist and also placed in another Caller Group?

Blacklist settings have the highest priority and therefore any such number which is defined in a group and also entered in blacklist will be treated as Blacklisted.

What is Mobitunes Gift?

A Mobitunes subscriber can gift Mobitune(s) to another Mobitunes subscriber(s) by taking the Gift Option. Thereafter, the recipient(s) will only be required to set the playing conditions to start using the gifted Mobitune. Additionally:

  • Both user and recipient will receive SMS confirmation on successful delivery of the gift.
  • Both user and recipient will receive SMS intimations on un-successful delivery of the gift, which could be due to the following reasons:
     
      1.
    Gift cannot be received due to insufficient capacity in the recipient's album,
     
      2.
    Maximum number of gifts has already been delivered to the recipient.
  • Gift recipient will be notified by SMS if a Gift remains unused for 27 days,
  • A Gift will be automatically removed after 21 days of no use.

What is Mobitunes Music Box?

From multiple music boxes to choose from, Mobitunes users will benefit from this feature by getting access to an assortment of Mobitunes on just a single download. A set Music Box will enable different Mobitunes (within the Music Box) to play on each incoming call in sequential order. Please note, Music Box settings can take a maximum of one hour to come into effect.

How many songs are there in the Music Box?

There are a total of 10 songs in each Music Box.

Can I customize an existing Music Box or create a new Music Box?

No, you cannot create or customize Music Boxes.

What is ‘Record Your Own Mobitunes'?

As the name suggests, record a Mobitune in your own voice and set it as your Ring back Tone. Simply take the 4th option from the Main Menu and talk/sing into the system and save it as a Mobitune, set it according to your preferences and make your callers listen to your own voice before you even answer the call. Maximum recording duration of a self-created Mobitune is 30 Seconds. Please note, your self-created Mobitune settings can take a maximum of one hour to come into effect.

What is the maximum recording time available to create my own Mobitune?

The maximum recording time available to create your own Mobitunes is 30 Seconds.

How do I set a Mobitune for a group of callers?

Mobitunes IVR presents a host of pre-defined groups to choose from. From amongst Friends, Family, Special, Official labeled groups and E.t.c to select from, Mobitune Users can then insert their choice of caller numbers and set the group(s) against their downloaded Mobitunes.

Group settings can be performed from various segments of the IVR. Please refer to the detailed flow.

How many Mobitunes can I download at one time?

You can download a maximum of 48 Mobitunes in your Album. Your next download will prompt you to replace your last downloaded entry in the album. Additionally and subject to availability of sufficient space in My Album:

  • You can download/save in album a maximum of 20 self-created Mobitunes at any given time,
  • You can receive a maximum of 20 gifts,
  • All Music Box downloads will occupy only one unit of space respectively in My Album.

Will my downloaded Mobitunes expire?

No, your Mobitunes will never expire.

Why my callers cannot listen to my Mobitune when they call?

This can happen in multiple instances as listed below:

  • While you are on call waiting,
  • When the network link is down
  • When call traffic is excessive/network congestion
  • You have your call forwarding option on and the calls are being forwarded to a number not subscribed to Mobitunes

How do I assign Caller and Time settings to a Mobitune?

Your downloaded Mobitune/Music Box or Your own recorded Mobitune can be set for All Day & All Callers by taking the first option after the Mobitune is downloaded. You can however customize the settings as per the following:

  • By taking option 2 (Change Settings) and setting the downloaded Mobitune for specific Caller and Time Settings – the IVR flow can be referred to for a step by step walk through.
  • Alternatively, any of the previously downloaded Mobitunes can be set according to your preferences by going to My Album (Main Menu Option 5), going into sub-menu 2 and then assigning the Condition Settings against the chosen Mobitune - the IVR can be referred to for a step by step walk through.

Additionally, your last downloaded Mobitune will be set as default or for All Day All Callers in event of the following:

  • When there are no set Mobitunes in you're my Album And
  • When you download a Mobitune (from Mobitunes Menu/Option 2 in the Main Menu) Or
  • When you download a Mobitune (from File-Code Menu/Option 3 in the Main Menu) Or
  • When you download a Music Box (from Music Box Menu/Option 6 in the Main Menu)

* User can however customize the play settings of their above downloads by taking the Specific Settings option/Option 2 in the Download menu.

In how many ways can I set my Mobitune?

Mobitunes can be set by using the following available options:

  • On Occasions / Specific dates (e.g. 12 th August 2006)
  • Part of the day (e.g. All Day, Evening, After Mid-Night)
  • All Callers or a Group of Callers (E.g. On-Net, Off-net, Landline, International)

What are timings of All Day, Day Time, Evening Time and Night/Midnight time settings?

The playing hours of the respective specific time settings are as follows:

  • All Day: 24 hours,
  • Day Time: 9am to 6pm,
  • Evening: 6pm to Midnight, and
  • Night/After Midnight: 12am to 9am

What can be the maximum value of Special Date?

Special Date can be set a maximum of 2 months in advance.

What priority sequence do Mobitunes follow?

The "playing setup" is [time setup] + [Mobitune setup].

A subscriber can have a maximum of 48 Mobitunes in his/her album, where each Mobitune can have either all callers or a group of (10) callers assigned to. When you add/download a Mobitune to your album, the downloaded Mobitune will be incremented by 1; the last download bearing the largest assigned number.
If the incoming caller is not assigned to any Mobitune, then the default Mobitune gets played.
If the incoming caller is assigned more than one Mobitune, Mobitunes will play according to the following sequence:

  1. Blacklist Settings
  2. [Playing Setup]=[Specific Date]+[ [Mobitune setup n+1]
  3. [Playing Setup]=[Specific Date]+[ [Mobitune setup n]
  4. [Playing Setup]=[Specific Date]+[Assigned to all incoming callers]
  5. [Playing Setup]=[Day time/Night Time/After Midnight]+[ [Mobitune setup n+1]
  6. [Playing Setup]=[Day time/Night Time/After Midnight]+[ [Mobitune setup n]
  7. [Playing Setup]=[Day time/Night Time/After Midnight]+[Assigned to all incoming callers]
  8. [Playing Setup]=[Whole day 24 hrs]+[ [Mobitune setup n+1]
  9. [Playing Setup]=[Whole day 24 hrs]+[ [Mobitune setup n]
  10. [Playing Setup]=[Whole day 24 hrs]+[Assigned to all incoming callers]
Why are my downloaded Mobitunes not playing?

This happens when the corresponding Condition Settings are not in place. The following two conditions have to be satisfied in order for a downloaded Mobitune to play:

  • When corresponding Time Settings are in place, and
  • When corresponding Caller Settings are in place

How do I cancel my subscription to Mobitunes?

Just dial 230 and select the un-subscription option. Alternatively, you can also SMS ‘UNSUB' to 230. for further information and assistance, please dial Customer Services Helpline @ 111.
